If, on the one hand, with grapes and his own inventiveness man makes wine; nature, on the other, is whimsical, whereas man has his limitations. Thus, at times, wine is good, great, proud; yet, sometimes it is less so, and man suffers from it.
From such reflections was born my unusual decision to present some of those men with their own wines; in good and in evil, the truest expression of our land.
